alibears 1 Posted July 11, 2013 Hello everyone! My surgery was on July 1st and I'm finally starting to get out of the house for a few hours a day without fatigue or pain. I'm not going back to work until next month, but I'm finding it a little difficult to get in all the water/protein/food that I need in a day when I go out. How did everyone transition back into working? I'm afraid it will be even more difficult to get all my food and Water in since I travel inbetween two offices regularly. It's hard enough to fit it all in when I'm at home since I'm never hungry, but I'm really trying. Im just looking for some tips and advice. Thanks!
jan8j 30 Posted July 11, 2013 I was sleeved 1 1/2 weeks ago. I go in to the office only one day a week and yesterday was my first day back. I took a big shaker bottle with enough Protein Shakes for 4 "meals". It worked fine for me. I just ordered from BJs Bariatric, a shaker bottle with a separate part that fits on the bottom to hold Protein Powder. That might be good if you don't have access to a refrigerator and want to mix up your smoothie as you are ready to drink it. However, on second thought, I guess just Protein powder in a little baggie would work fine too. But I just love kitchen gadgets!
Indigo1991 1,612 Posted July 11, 2013 Planning is the key. I knew what I was going to take in with me by way of food and drink each day - you will be surprised how easy it is to do once you are organised. Even now, 11 weeks out, I still think about what to take in and sit with a 2l bottle of Water on my desk to remind myself to drink! Good luck, you will be fine :-)
