Marerz 21 Posted July 12, 2013 My surgery is July 23rd! I start my 10 day liquid diet on Saturday! I am able to have 4 Protein Shakes a day and sugar free Jello and broth plus lots of Water including crystal light. I have been mentally preparing for this for the last 3 weeks so I think I'll be ok. I think the hardest part will be getting in the water; I've always struggled with that but I know it will be required after surgery! Good luck all! 1 1SlimSistah2 reacted to this
TonyaA 41 Posted July 12, 2013 My doctor only requires a one week liquid diet prior to surgery. This week I started incorporating Protein Shakes for breakfast and supper, but eating a small healthy lunch. I've been drinking Water with my sugar-free flavors. Next week, my diet will consist of 2-3 Protein shakes a day (I'm using Syntrax Matrix), broth, sugar-free popsicles/pudding/jello, fat free milk. I will switch to Decaf coffee and tea with artificial sweeteners, neither is that big of a change for me. I will have the liquid only diet the day before my surgery. I have my pre-op appt with my surgeon on July 17th, I also attend my required nutrition class that morning. I am so ready for this!! Good luck to all!!
