I am trying to motivate myself to exercise NOW before I start the pre op diet. Needing a little encouragement and also have a question--are people exercising during the pre op diet phase? Thanks. Totally new, just joined forum...

I walk... started out doing 15 minutes twice a day before surgery... which added up to a half a mile (I started this journey well over 300 lbs...) Now I am doing 2.5 miles daily... getting it done in 45 minutes! if you start now, it will be easier to stay in the habit after surgery...good luck to you!

I'm doing Water fit classes.....very fun, get a great work out, and easy on the joints.....will be working with a trainer soon for weights. Welcome, and good luck!

Hello new to site. But was wondering for those of you who were over 300 lb , what helped with the pain in the joints?
