DonRodolfo 1,416 Posted July 9, 2013 I'm 3 weeks out will the pickles bother me? Remember that scene from Aliens where the creature pops out of... Just kidding - I had egg salad/chicken salad at 3 weeks out, but I'm just some yahoo on the internet. Ask your doctor for the final word. 2 avanti and tbrown9 reacted to this

chinamama 104 Posted July 9, 2013 I guess I don't think of ham salad as soft unless you chop it up good in the food processor. Then I would think the pickles would be fine as long as you didn't add a lot of them.

JessicaAnn 564 Posted July 9, 2013 I've never heard of ham salad.. What is it? 1 tbrown9 reacted to this
lsereno 2,525 Posted July 9, 2013 It all depends on how your Dr. is progressing your foods. I was allowed soft cooked meats (except beef), and cooked veggies during weeks 2-6. If you make the ham salad yourself you can control the fat and what's in it so it meets your plan. I would try: 2 oz. Lowfat Ham 1 T. lowfat mayo 1-2 T. greek yogurt Small splash of pickle juice if you like pickle taste Blend till smooth. lifer 39 Posted July 10, 2013 I am on mushy foods so it's ok. The only thing I I question is, do pickles have "skins"?
