VSGKirk 855 Posted July 9, 2013 I went to New Orleans just a few months out of surgery. I lived on shrimp there! Acme Oyster House was a big favorite with the group I was with. I wasn't partaking in copious amounts of alcohol that trip so I tried to find other things to do. So I signed up for a haunted history tour. It was fun and incorporated my new active lifestyle into my love of history and ghosts! 2 SuNMooNStaRS816 and Huntingnurse reacted to this
Rox 200 Posted July 9, 2013 See, you don't have to blow off your new way of eating - I think I would miss the copious amount of alcohol more. 1 Huntingnurse reacted to this

Corky6984 134 Posted July 11, 2013 Shrimp, crawfish, gumbo, and there are tons of different bisques out there as well. Go the oysters if you can stomach them...yuck! LoL! Have a great time! No game 14,437 Posted July 11, 2013 Have fun! I'd try all sorts of good Protein choices. But keep other things at a minimum. I say that because I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago and ate things that I don't typically eat anymore and it's really thrown me off. I've been having a hard time going back to my healthier choices! It's like I woke up a beast... 1 Huntingnurse reacted to this
buplee 556 Posted July 28, 2013 I went to Deanies and Drago and had BBQ shrimps and chargrilled oysters. They have tons of Protein and are not deep fried like everything else down there. I also had crawfish and seafood omelets which a lot were great tasting with a lot of protein. 2 sherry24184 and Getting Wispy reacted to this
