vegasneon 181 Posted July 9, 2013 Well today is 6 weeks after my surgery and 8 weeks after I started the liquid pre surgery diet and I have lost 30 lbs. Its going a little slow but its GOING. It took the last whole month to lost 10 lbs. I know 10 lbs a month is good- it just feels slow while its happening. I want other people with crappy slow metabolisms like mine to know they aren't alone. 9 Brenda0928, Molly3, Aliese and 6 others reacted to this

I want other people with crappy slow metabolisms like mine to know they aren't alone. I love you guys because now I dont feel so alone. Sleeved April 29th and have lost 36 lbs since surgery. Keep my calories under 800 day, getting in all protien and Water. I go to the gym 2 miles/5 days a week and have recently added weight training and hired a trainer. Sometimes I want to scream after hearing friends tales of fast losses, when sticking to "the rules" I have weeks I loose nothing. I just dont get it. But it is what it is and Im not a quitter, so Im staying the course and it will all have to come off eventually. I think God is really testing my patience. TJL 222 Posted July 9, 2013 I'm right there with you all. Sleeved 5/14/13, I have lost 33lbs. Wish it was more but I know that I wouldn't have lost 33lbs on my own. So as they say slow and steady wins the race. Good luck everyone.
Aliese 3 Posted July 9, 2013 I'm right there with ya! I'm experiencing a stall right now myself. This is my 3rd week from the surgery and 4th from the pre-op diet and I have only lost 37 lbs. I just started my stall last week. UGH!!! I want to scream!!!
vegasneon 181 Posted July 10, 2013 I tell you, if it weren't for the fact that I CAN"T eat much the impatience and aggravation from this would have made me binge big time. I know this is the right thing for me but if I were one of those lower BMI people who didn't have my 43 years of yo yo dieting behind them I would say don't do this. I would tell anyone with less than 100 lbs to lose not to do this. I would tell anyone who hasn't had years of weight problems not to do this. This is freakin' HARD. artymama 170 Posted July 10, 2013 I agree 100% vegasneon!! This is hard. I am sure it will be worth it in the end, but it is by far the hardest thing I have ever done . 1 vegasneon reacted to this

vegasneon 181 Posted July 16, 2013 Well one more week and I lost 1.6 lbs this week. Somehow it isn't bugging me as bad as it was last week. I am resigned to my doom. I can't decide if I should be more relaxed about what I eat or be more strict. In my prior life I would do a cheat day every 2 weeks but it just doesn't seem worthwhile right now! GypsyQueen 198 Posted July 16, 2013 I am 8 1/2 weeks post op and am down only 24 lbs. (but not fretting as I lost 45 lbs on my 6 mo. pre op). In those 24 lbs. though, I've dropped 4 pant sizes. i'm hoping slow and steady wins the race. 1 blackie220 reacted to this
