Need help with My Fitness Pal

I'm new to both MFP and using a tablet, having just gotten it last week when my laptop died. I've been loving both until this morning when I clicked on the MFP app and it said it couldn't synchronize because I had no internet connection. Well, obviously I do because I was able to access this site by typing it into my browser.

But everything is running very slow this morning when it's just been zipping along until now. I've loaded a few apps, but not many so I dont think that should be the problem. I don't know if I'm neglecting to shut down programs when I turn off the tablet (because I can't find a way to do so)!

Can anybody help? By the way, my tablet is a Samsung Galaxy, 16 GB.

MFP is having server issues today, so it may be them and not you. Give it some time.

Shutting off your tablet will "force close" all problems - that's not an issue.

My husband & I both found issues with MFP this morning as well. All seems to be resolved now this evening. :)

I have the older Tab and a friend got the newer upgraded one and neither of us ever turn it off. No issues. It has to be the MFP server

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
