LovelyOne 3 Posted July 7, 2013 Hi all. I think this is my fist post. And I'm coming with a question. I was sleeved on June 26th, and had absolutely no complications. No nausea, pain, reflux at all. In fact, I remember telling my doc I didn't even feel like I'd had surgery. Flash forward to today. After being able to eat 6 ounces of yogurt last night, I became worried about my intake. I'm hearing about problems ingesting, mbut I have none of that. In fact, I had a Protein Shake this morning and another just now (4 pm). While I'm not starving, I don't feel full. Sill craving a sloppy joe sandwich I saw earlier, though my stomach's not growling o anything. In addition to my two shakes, I have had two glasses of Water so far. Shouldn't I be feeling really stuffed? As crazy as it sounds, I feel like I might be the one person this doesn't work for. Please respond, because I am just so disenchanted right now. I will remain committed to weight loss, but I was hoping the sleeve would make things a lot easier. Is there a chance that this didn't work for me? MIJourney 490 Posted July 7, 2013 2 Protein Shakes probably won't make you feel "stuffed". The Protein is great since protein helps so you're not hungry. The feeling of restriction will be more obvious when you are eating solid protein. liquids don't stay in your stomach as long. Cravings can be part of head hunger as opposed to actual hunger. Good luck! 1 christieouchley reacted to this
No game 14,437 Posted July 7, 2013 Yes the restriction won't really come into play until you eat more solid Proteins. And even then depending on how soon you advance you want to be really careful and measure your meals because in the early stages your stomach is still somewhat numb and you might not "feel" the full feeling just yet. It will get better and all work out just follow your plan and let your stomach heal. 1 Melixxa reacted to this
Fixerupper 335 Posted July 7, 2013 Hi I'm 6 weeks post op and had no complications as well. There is much less restriction when you're just on the liquids don't worry once you start eating dense Protein you will really feel it. I have no problems getting anything down and I'm losing great I think I'm down for 34 pounds at this point and I feel great. 1 Melixxa reacted to this
Ree-ree 0 Posted July 7, 2013 Hi, I'm new here. Congrats on your surgery. I'm glad to hear that you don't have the stomach growling. I can usually walk away from temptation I just hate the stomach growling. I hear that the sleeve is suppose to help with that but it was go to read it from someone real.
