Oh yeah Popsicles are my new best friend. I was also sleeved on July 9th. I was actually figuring this as day three. Creamed Soup sounds yummy, my Dr has us on clears for week.

How is everyone doing? I went back to work yesterday and was a little uncomfortable and tired but made it thru my 9 hour workday. I was hurting some last night tho. I hope today goes a little better.

I'm doing good. I worked from home on Monday, today I was out and working all day. Then I went to the gym and did the elliptical for 30 minutes. That kicked my butt. I am exhausted. I'm still on all clears so I'm getting about 250 calories a day. The elliptical burned 350 so not much fuel in the tank. I'm not in pain but still very aware that something happened inside me and I feel like I should be getting a PhD in Burpology. Everyday gets a little better, I can actually swallow a normal amount of liquid so that means the swelling is going down.

Wow, you must have super human strength. I thought I was doing good just being able to walk and work and get all my fluids in. There is no way I could be exercising that much especially on clears. I am on full liquids and have been enjoying Greek yogurt.

Hi - I was sleeved on the 9th also - good for you being able to work 9 hours - you must be doing all the right things - how are you doing with your Protein? I'm so proud of you.

At first I wasn't able to get much Protein in but I am now up to 60-70 grams a day. The Protein Shakes I liked pre-op makes me gag now so I get my protein from Greek yogurt and I get a gladiator smoothie from Smoothie King at lunch which has 40 grams of protein.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
