SheWins1 207 Posted July 7, 2013 The 12 pack boxes of Quest bars are buy 2 get one free at GNC right now. Just wondering if you have tried the Quest Pasta? I saw it on their site & wondered if it was any good?
loseitsoon 157 Posted July 7, 2013 I really don't like the Quest bars but love the Pure Protein bars. I have one every night for a snack. If I don't I wake up hungery in the middle of the night.
Reigo 111 Posted July 7, 2013 Just wondering if you have tried the Quest Pasta? I saw it on their site & wondered if it was any good? The texture was off putting to me me! Like rubbery. I say just make spagetti squash and know you are eating a low cal veggie that is all natural.
Reigo 111 Posted July 7, 2013 Interesting answers! I know myself and think these items can be a slippery slope adding calories to my day. I will take them when I travel internationally so I can skip restaurant Breakfast and lunch and limit meals out to dinner.< /p>
Tim H. 168 Posted July 7, 2013 I don't count carbs, so if I can fit in a yummy Protein Bar and still be under my calorie goal for the day, I don't feel guilty about doing it. I understand why others might want to avoid them. But my doctor didn't put any restrictions on them. Ultimately you need to find what works for you. I had a huge sweet tooth before surgery, so Protein Bars help me satisfy that craving without turning to a much worse choice. 1 AmandaRaeLeo reacted to this
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted July 7, 2013 Foe...definitely foe! Protein bars = crack Reigo i used to think, "if i'm gonn eat too much of something - a Protein Bar sounds ok' full of Protein right??? true, its full of protein, and if i could have one on a certain day and stop, it would be ok but i can't stop at just one!!!! i do get hooked i'm still working on it at my request 6'2 DH puts bars way up high where i can't reach them, then he'll give me one when i ask the other mid-day, i actually pulled a chair to the pantry and stood up on a chair to get the bar!!!!! KatInFL 216 Posted July 7, 2013 I don't subtract the carbs from Fiber... ( I suck at math) I don't subtract them either. In tracking my carb intake, they still count in my book. I haven't had much luck in finding Protein bars that are a good balance so I skip them unless I absolutely need something quick and easy on the run. Even then, I have to plan ahead so I still keep within my goals for carbs, Protein, and calories for the day. ~Kat 1 No game reacted to this

celina11 12 Posted August 3, 2013 The Premier Protein bars from SAMs are working for me. They have 30g of Protein and I can't remember the number of carbs but I don't think it was very high. These are so thick and so filing i usually can't finish a whole bar in one sitting. I'll split it in half and eat it as two different Snacks during the day. sheilarae 84 Posted August 3, 2013 My dr said Protein bars should have at least 10 grams protein and under 230 calories. Also said to ignore other things on the label. I like EAS and Center for Medical Weight Loss bars. 1 Tim H. reacted to this
