This is really early out and your stomach is still really really swollen. Take sips all day long if you have too but keep the Water going. Try diluting gatorade with water and it will go down more easily. You are probably dehydrated right now so you really need to do 1 of 2 things. 1st go into the urgent care or ER and get an IV if you get worst, 2nd start sipping, sipping, sipping, sipping every 15 minutes at least. You don't want to be dehydrated it's misable.

Have you tried experimenting with temperature? Sometimes warmer liquids feel better.

I too was sleeved on the 26th and I also felt dehydrated in fact when I woke up the third morning I felt very dehydrated. I was sweating and some nausea, at that point I started drinking my drinks without ice. Since then I feel great, I get the amount of daily fluids easily.

I agree with Andi. I had trouble too but not as much when it was room temp.

Sleeved on the 27th... Really sounds like you're dehydrating. I was initially having issues and I started having a bottle of Water by my bed and drank a bit through the night when I got up. Somehow it seemed to make it easier for me when I woke up.... like I wasn't shocking my stomach. Just a thought. Feel better.

I got sleeved June 17 and I am still struggling with my Protein intake and the thirst I feel is crazy! My mouth gets so dry that it makes me nauseous. What happens is I end up drinking Water the whole day and not eating anything :(

I'm still trying to get this right but since I'm not even a month out I'm trying not to be so hard on myself

I guess my point is your not alone. We will get this right :)

I literally drink all day long. I am constantly siping something. I start from the moment my two feet hit the floor! You can do this, it's your full time job! I was sleeved 6/25. I am finishing my last ounces now before I let myself go to bed.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
