Hey everyone!

I went and played raquetball yesterday with my son and DIL and now my whole body hurts! But in a good way. I never did beat my son, but I was able to stay with him most of the way. By the end of the hour, I was exhausted and couldn't get across the court to get those tricky shots, but I felt so good about being able to be there in the first place.

I used to be very good at raquetball and after yesterday, I don't think it would take much to be at least adequate. My son has been bugging me to get a membership at his gym (that's where we played) but I already have a membership somewhere else that doesn't have any courts. I hate to pay for TWO gym memberships. Maybe in April, when I can cancel my other membership, I'll join his.

Congrats on the racquetball Marci! What fun! I haven't played since my college phys ed class...

Well, I think the scales are finally starting to move again... I'lll let you guys know on Monday. Right now my arms are almost too sore to type.. my exercise physiologist completly changed my weight work out last night.. says I'm gonna have sleeveless shirt arms by summer... I've not worn sleeveless since elementary school.. I have always had huge arms.. not to mention the stretch marks.:rolleyes

Alicia.. good luck meeting your goal, you can do it! Drink TONS of water!

Whoa! Racquetball! I used to LOVE racquetball. But with an injured knee from skiing, I can't do the side to side steps anymore. Oh how I wish to play again. As a matter of fact, I still have my racquet and blue rubber balls in a bag as if waiting for an invitation. But without a knee replacement, I'll just have to be a wallflower...sigh....I am so jealous Marci.

Ok, I haven't been treadmilling like I had planned, only getting to the gym about 2 times per week. But am planning on GAINING momentum and not loosing it. :lost1.5lbs:

I went for my 3rd fill on Wed, and after one week of mandatory liquid diet, I am hoping to hit that sweet spot. I want to be a member of the 6oz club!!!

I won't make the I have a dream challenge, have only lost 3 lbs so far, but by the 15th, my revised mini goal is hopefully 5 lb wt loss. (and ya know, I look at a 5lb package of ground meat and think...5 lbs is good).

Keep on.....baby steps better than no steps.

I am interested if anyone has any ideas for a February challenge.

Good luck to everyone in the "I have a Dream" countdown.

Go may bandsters!!!!

I was thinking that since V-Day and St Patty's are about 1 month apart we could do the V-Day and then a St Patty's day after that. After that I have my own personal Anniversary Challenge (4/14) and then my B-day Challenge (5/21). Hopefully I'll be remotely close to my goal weight by then!

My damn scale only budged a pound this week. I am now 219. At least I'm out of the 220's! After getting out of the shower last night I decided I am definatley going to need a Tummy Tuck. My tummy is gross! What is it going to look like after a baby? YIKES!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Drews - I totally agree on the Tummy Tuck. I am constantly pinching the fat and pulling it up envisioning myself with a flat tummy. I want to have more one baby before I do it though. Not to mention I need to save up the money. Pregnancy took a toll on my stomach. I have NEVER had a flat tummy but it was never so gross until after Harrison. Loose skin, flabby tummy. Gross! I don't even want to describe how my tattoo on my lower left hip/stomach looks...YECH!

LOL. I thought I was the only one who pulled up my fat to see what I would look like! Glad I am not the only one! :lost1.5lbs: And speaking a tats, my tribal band on my arm doesn't look bad, but its funny that if I removed the excess skin, it would connect (it is not connected on the under side of my arm)

Well, I am missing this one by a mile. But the weight seems to have started moving again so I am encouraged for the Valentines day challenge. Do we start that one on the 16th? Are we choosing our own weight loss amount? If not, what is it this time??? I'd like to know and get myself all psychologically prepared.

I have 15.5 lbs to go till goal weight :) and it's going soooooo slow. :phanvan

Plus I am having some tummy issues...sometimes I can eat a lot and sometimes practically nothing before I am PBing. I don't get any warning...and wham, pressure, burning and yucky stuff and OCC. vomiting. :o Any suggestions on what to ask the doc when I see him in a couple of weeks? Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Glad the rest of you are doing so well!

AND looking so good, too.

Janey

Okay, okay, all this talk about tatoos has me laughing. I don't have any, don't want any, but have always wondered what the tatoos on all the skinny people would look like if they gained weight! Not that I wish for anyone to GAIN weight, but the pictures going through my mind make me snicker. Probably because as a child growing up, I was always the fat one and my friends would all stand around saying how fat they were and how they needed to go on a diet. Oh how I wished to be normal like they were. Of course, many of them have put on weight after children and stresses of life have taken their toll. I can hardly wait for my next class reunion, I won't be the biggest one there!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
