Can you keep the food down? Are you changing anything ( what you are eating, bite size, speed, chewing)? I would just look for any change that you have made. If it isn't that, it could be a virus and if not that, give your doctor a call. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I am 7 months out and starting to have serious problems also. Nave had none until about 5 weeks ago. I thru up for the first time. I thought it was from eating way too much. Then it happened 2 more times and I thought you would think I would learn not to eat so much. But the other night I had 1 fried chix leg and a tablespoon of 2 sides. I felt bad so did not drink an hour after as usual. When I got home I drank Isopure because I was low on Protein. Nausea almost immediately and within 30 seconds everything came up. I have been very gassy and belching constantly. I was fine this morning until an hour ago and I ate an egg and a piece of toast. Now the belching Is starting. Am afraid to drink because think it will all come up.

I am thinking it may be ulcers. I had deodenal ulcers many years ago and I was constantly belching. Anyone else have any similar issues?

sounds like you have having trouble digesting fat. are things better when you eat less fat?

Do y'all still have your gallbladders? I'm thinking if you do then that might be the problem. High fat will set off an attack. And eggs are notorious for setting off one too, as is coffee.< /p>

oh yes! and a malfunctioning gall bladder will hurt like hell, cause bloating, burping and vomiting. call your doc and get a blood test and u/s.

Yep, you're in that window after WLS where gallbladder issues are more common. Get checked ASAP, because living with gallbladder attacks is pure misery from what I hear.

Sorry but I had my gallbladder out years ago. I'm also running a low grade fever parts of the day. Do have the painful burping, headaches, and tired. I have a surgeon appt in 2 weeks. Also a lot of trapped gas.

call your doc asap if you are running a fever. dont wait 2 weeks. could be appendix or other infection.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
