puchy123 56 Posted July 6, 2013 Good morning, I am one moth and a week post op, I lost 28lbs so far and I am to stuck, I haven't lost an ounce since June 21st, I was told my body was in shock and went into starvation mode, I've been eating more solid foods now and still nothing, also started walking 3 to 3.5 miles a day. I'm scared because I had the band for over four years and it was a complete failure. I too had my surgery out of the country not in Mexico though, and also ran out of the diets the gave me. diannepj1960 28 Posted July 6, 2013 But are you eating enough,i have to time my my self to make sure i'm eating every two hours because I can not eat much anyway so my weight is steady dropping also I had to stop exercising for a while to watch and see what my body was doing when I hit a stall,i was burning up more calories than I was eating, the key to losing is eating,i will start back walking again, just giving my body time, and it's working for me so you have to eat and eat lol,,just because you are eating solids does not mean you are getting enough in your system to burn up,and you weight wil stop dropping, and also inches will not show on the scale.so stay encourage you will start losing again
SueJH 205 Posted July 6, 2013 Everyone loses at a different rate. I will be 4 weeks out Monday. The last time I weighed myself was Thursday and I am only down 11lbs since surgery so you are ahead of me. As long as you are doing all the right things the weight will come off, you just need to be patient. Please do not compare yourself to how others are doing. You are just going to drive yourself crazy and be disappointed all the time. You are doing great for YOUR journey.
fp9107 121 Posted July 6, 2013 Be sure you are hitting your Protein amounts. When I have a stall I try and up my protein amounts to get my body moving again. I have averaged about 14 lbs a month.
