GNC shakes

Recommended Posts

I have test driven serveral brands of shakes. The GNC Lean 25, does not whey Protein isolate as a main component.

As for taste it was not bad, I needed it to be super cold. But everyones taste buds are different.

According to their site it's a meal replacement:

http://m.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4447508

Same calories as the Isopure I drink, however it has 17 carbs to Isopure's 0.

On the other hand it does have 8 grams of Fiber...

I like to use it as the base to my smoothies, it mixes better than my powder from Walmart. Tastes good and a blends without grit. Without added fruit or yogurt, e.g. just mixing with Water or milk, it needs a little more time to rehydrate. I like the French vanilla. chocolate Peanut Butter was ok too but way better if you added a spoonful of PB2.< /p>

Has anyone tried GNC total lean shakes?

Is it considered a meal replacement drink

I can't remember If my nutritionist said to only drink half at a time

Any advice

That's all I drink, it has 170 Cal 25g Protein 2g Sugar 6g of Carbs. I drink the chocolate or strawberry. I love them and to me they taste yummy. I showed it to my Surgeon and he said it was perfect!!!! I have 2 a day and have more than 1/2 my Protein intake the rest I do with meals.

I was looking at these yesterday. For some reason, the RTD has way lower carbs than the powder. I compared the powder to my GNC Amp Wheybolic Extreme 60 and mine is the better one.

Also, I'm told that the concept of "net carbs" (carbs - Fiber = net carbs) is an Atkins thing and it's BS.
