Sharon58 3 Posted July 5, 2013 I'm 11 days post op. Since day 1 I have had this sharp pain just to the left of my navel, when coughing, sneezing, or bending over. The pain has not eased up at all. Has anyone else had this? How long before it goes away? That is the only area that I have pain.
Vixynne 695 Posted July 5, 2013 Is the soreness over an incision site? My biggest incision is also the most painful--but mine is on the right, and diagonal to my navel, about 6 inches apart from it. If I had to guess, I'd say that might be the spot where your excised stomach was drawn out of your abdomen. If the pain's not connected to an incision site, you may want to give your surgeon a call and see what he says, just to play it safe.
PEvette 297 Posted July 5, 2013 I'm 13 months post op and I still have a sensation from the incision where he pulled my stomach out....I told him about it at 6 months post op and he told me to try to remember to massage the area and it will help with the sensitivity of the area....so every couple of hours or so I massage the area, it helps somewhat
