cherip 33 Posted July 4, 2013 I am 3 weeks post op and started pureed foods today. had a scrambled egg this morning, could only eat half. Chew, chew, chew. Tried a little pureed chicken with low fat mayo and it was too bulky. got about 1 tablespoon down but it's taking it's time going down. almost like pate. Not gonna try this again for a bit. onedaycloser 136 Posted July 4, 2013 Wendy's chilli?
getlownurse 105 Posted July 4, 2013 I've been having hummus, eggs with cheese, tuna, soft shredded chicken chewed well, avocado/guacamole, yogurt, babybel cheese, cottage cheese, thicker Soups, mashed potatoes. The little cans of tuna have lots of Protein, so a good choice. Oh and I had a weight watchers fudge pop tonight that was awesome. 2 ladylaura and cbean820 reacted to this

Healthiernewme 81 Posted July 4, 2013 I was all about the creamy Soups during the pureed stage.
ladylaura 77 Posted July 4, 2013 I boil my chicken then use a hand mixer to puree it with some marinara sauce. Then to eat it, I put a little parmesan cheese on top. It's pretty good
VSGKirk 855 Posted July 4, 2013 I pureed just about every variety of Progresso Soup known to man! 1 Disco reacted to this
fp9107 121 Posted July 4, 2013 Wendy's chilli? Do not do this ,Chili that is pureed is disgusting. Learn from my mistake. The Beans texture has a lot to do with the taste.
cherip 33 Posted July 4, 2013 Thank you all so much!! I think the pureed chicken with the mayo just ended up too dense. I'm looking forward to the refried Beans. As far as the fudge pop, they told me to stick to under 5 grams of fat and 5 grams of sugar. I have been making a lot of sugar free instant pudding. Really good, lemon and white chocolate.< /p>
