Healthier2day1227 326 Posted July 3, 2013 I never thought I would complain about ANY weight loss, but I can't help but compare my weight loss with others on this site. I am two weeks out and have only lost 10 pounds. I get in about 90 g of Protein and 600 cal a day which is what my surgeon recommended. I'm 5'10". I feel like doing something wrong especially when I hear about people losing 25 their first two weeks. Also, I get in my fluids and walk 30 min daily. 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
shannon crotts 23 Posted July 3, 2013 Just give it time. The heavier you are the quicker you lose.....so those people probably weighed much more than you. 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this

And I was a slow loser even with my pre op diet so it could just be the way I'm wired.

Don't think of how much you haven't lost, but think of the fact that you've lost 5 lbs a week already! I'm 3 weeks out and have barely lost 20 lbs. I lost 30 in my 2 week pre op diet. I had a LOT to lose and that helps me lose a bit quicker, but certainly not as fast as others. It will come off in time and you and I will be here in a year congratulating each other for our 1 year sleeve anniversary and successes! Keep up the great work! 2 Ms skinniness and Healthier2day1227 reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted July 3, 2013 Your doing great! It will come off. Focus on getting your fluids in and then Protein Shakes. It will happen....... 2 Healthier2day1227 and BrianSATX reacted to this

I am absolutely guilty of it and it's incredibly frustrating! Be kind and give yourself a break, especially this early on. I lost somewhere around 15 lbs in my first couple of weeks. Even 3 months out, I wish I was losing more and faster and I swore I'd never get caught up in that cycle. It's something I'm working on. But if it makes you feel a little better, you're ahead of where I was at at the same stage. ~Kat
