thetattooedlady 114 Posted July 3, 2013 Did you guys feel better after your drain was removed? I'm hoping once they pull this thing out tomorrow some of my stomach pain will go away! I've been walking like crazy and that does help too
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted July 3, 2013 I was marginally better but I had some lingering issues with the drain site. My pain there didn't fully resolve for about two weeks. The NP at my surgeon's office told me that for most people it goes away in a couple of days, but for others it hangs around for up to a month. Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones and only have pain at the drain site for a couple of days.

thetattooedlady 114 Posted July 6, 2013 It was amazing...once he pulled it out I felt marginally better. I don't know if I was just freaked out by having it and didn't want to move ...or if it actually caused discomfort...some of both I think. The drain was the thing I was most scared of from the beginning!! I work in veterinary medicine and we place drains in wounds daily that have to stay in for sometimes weeks and I'm the one that usually gets the joy of pulling them out and now I know how it feels! I have a lot more sympathy for the fury creatures I have to inflict that on! 1 fletcherette reacted to this
