Question about how to save the "girls" once weight loss starts.

Recommended Posts

I am getting scheduled for surg and have a question regarding boobs. LOL, anyway, I am top heavy, 44/46 DDD, wondering if anyone has any tricks to tighten things up as they start going south. In the past I lost 25 pounds on the south beach diet(only to gain back plus 15) but I happened to notice how I lost in the breast area, which worries me they are going to be "2 eggs in a sock tacked to a wall" after I lose a significant amount of weight. Any advice would be welcome- exercises, wraps,(or a good plastic surgeon! ha!)

I have the same worries too! If I lose too much in my breasts, I'm deff going to get a breast lift and implants and mise well get Lipo too and get any excess skin off.

I definitely recommend working out your chest, its going to lift them and if they reduce a little from losing weight, building your chest muscles will help them keep looking full. Of course your genetics also have a lot to do with them getting smaller or not.

I was a size 38DD when I had the surgery I've lost 46lbs and my chest is now a 34DDD so my abdomen and back shrinked but I kept the same volume as far as cup size goes...

I do various chest, lats and arm workouts to help with my boobs.

Hope this helps :-/

Plastic surgery is probably your only option. Unfortunately, your breasts are just made up of adipose tissue (fat). If you're going to lose there, you're going to lose there.

My husband calls them flappers, I refer to them as skin socks. Either way, I am gonna do everything I can to prevent it from happening to me. I will wear a bra 24 hrs a day, concentrate on some chest exercises/ weight training, and if all else fails.......My husband has agreed to buy me new boobs.

I have decided that since we want more kids after surgery I am just going to nurse them... FOREVER lol... that way they always have some volume... but hubby has agreed to start saving for a boob job

I have lost 150 my husband says I looked like an Amazon woman on the nat geo magazine. I do chest exercises I dont see it helping. I went to from a 52 ddd to a 38d. I think I just have to wear really good bras and maybe get a breast lift one day.

I am saving for a boob job. I have lost a lot in my chest area, went down maybe 2 cup sizes so far. They look great in a bra, but not so amazing out of it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
