ladylaura 77 Posted July 3, 2013 Yeah it took me about 2 weeks before I could even stand up straight without pain LOL Hang in there it will get better!
kiwi63 22 Posted July 3, 2013 I didn't have a great deal of pain post op, but it was impossible to put my left sock on alone for about 2 weeks. Bending at the waist was really hard!
Newlife4me2017 17 Posted July 9, 2013 Today I am officially 4 weeks out, doing much better with walking and bending, but definitely feel the soreness mostly from the big incision. Still feeling hesitant to pick up anything heavy. I can't wait to get back to normal so I can start working out. Best of luck to everyone.
sarahj 61 Posted July 9, 2013 Your not alone. I had surgery may 28, I was in severe searing pain for about 2 weeks. My mom had to help me dry off after my showers I was in so much pain. I agree with others, heating pad became my friend, and the more I moved, even just walking around my house, the better I felt.
Fixerupper 335 Posted July 9, 2013 Okay, not to be a Debbie downer but Please call your doctor. It can't hurt to check in with a professional. I did have some soreness but searing pain is worth talking to the doc about. If there is a complication it is better if you catch it sooner rather than later. Laurambers 15 Posted July 10, 2013 My friend and i both had surgery on may 28th. She was up and shopping in the mall the day we got discharged, when i still couldnt even stand up strait. It took me about 4 wks to feel like i could move well and not have the pain. Its amazing how everyone is so different. If you can help it, plz dont go back to work this soon. If you over due you will set yourself back
bogeydog 30 Posted July 10, 2013 Have you tried one of those abdominal binders? I found that to be helpful in the month after surgery. You can get them at any drugstore or at Walmart.< /p>
