amytug 996 Posted July 3, 2013 I work out at home. Yesterday I did my Max of squats and some butt moves. I wanted some DOMS today but- nothing. I "think" I read before that a lack of DOMS doesn't mean you didn't work out hard enough, but I seriously wanna KNOW that its working. I has saggy bum. Lol So, what are some *awesome* butt moves at home? I miss the gym.

Fixerupper 335 Posted July 3, 2013 My office is on the 33rd floor and I am usually on the elevator alone so I do full plies all the way up and all the way down. My butt is sore :-). It could just be that you are in good shape already. 2 aroundhky and amytug reacted to this
aroundhky 1,174 Posted July 3, 2013 Just from my experience, I've noticed that I really only get DOMS in my glutes when I go really deep on my squats. Squats (especially the early movement towards parallel with the floor) are mostly using the quads. To really hit the glutes (butt), I have to go extra deep on my squats, that's when your body has to start using glutes, as well as hamstrings, to get you back to parallel with the floor so that your quads can take back over to get you back to standing again. So basically from the squat stance to your thighs being parallel with the floor....it's using mostly quads, then the lower you go (past parallel with the floor), the more your glutes and hamstrings work. You can probably also do this with the leg press machine if you don't feel comfortable squating that low, but be careful with the leg press and going low, it can injure your back if you don't keep it flat on the machine. 2 Butterthebean and amytug reacted to this
