baseballbaby 7 Posted July 13, 2013 Oh gosh, PF Changs... My favorite! That will be tough. :-( I too struggle with the Protein. My doctor said to get at least 70 grams but yet they want me to stay under 500 calories. I'm sorry, but that's impossible on a puréed diet. They're crazy. Lol I'm eating eggs, tuna, chicken and Greek yogurt and my Protein Shakes.< /p>

I figure I can suck it up for a night for her sake.

I have a barium swallow in the morning at 8:00am and then I can have some Water yeahhhh. I am so grateful to Dr. Paul Enochs and the Rex Hospital Bariatric team. melegge 17 Posted July 13, 2013 I am still on liquids. Full liquids for 10 more days. I wish I could start pureed. I had a family gathering today of course that revolved around food. It was really hard but I made it. Keep on keeping on! 1 Indium47 reacted to this
Indium47 6 Posted July 13, 2013 I am still on Clear Liquids and my Celebrate BNS Protein Shakes. Next Thursday I get to start full liquids, cream Soups, pudding etc. I feel like my Dr is the most strict... 10 days out and still clear liquids. I am tired of sweet tasting things and chicken broth. The worst, I live around New Orleans and my sister is in town from Ohio so every night its off to a different restaurant. I just sit there with my crystal light. Tomorrow they want Chinese so I'll get wonton Soup without the wonton. I know it will be worth it in the long run but this is getting tough!
KiteeVA 13 Posted July 13, 2013 6 days out of surgery. I have very very bad acid indigestion and gas. It's like a labor pain but under my sternum. It fades and comes back about every 15 minutes. I am walking and drinking and walking some more. It does help relieve it after walking but comes back. I have tried gas x ' date=' equate and got Prilosec this morning. I think the Prilosec is not supposed to be a quick fix. The only way to get rest comfortably was to take the hydrocodone. I have suffered throughout the day and then taken it in the evening. When it wears off, the pain comes back... consequently I'm not getting much rest. . Tylenol does not help. Has anyone else had this experience?[/quote'] Similar issues for me since my surgery on July 1. Surgeon put me on carafate 4x/day and that is helping. Camella 209 Posted July 13, 2013 I'm feeling really down today. 12 days post op and I'm in constant mild/moderate pain. It is relieved by Gaviscon but I need to drink it every three hours to keep the pain away. I now have clear mucus leaking from my other end (lovely I know) and have diarrhea and it hurts after I have most things (still on full liquid). I thought that the cramping and diarrhea was caused by lactose intolerance so cut out dairy, but I'm still in pain regardless of what I have. I have spent today just sipping herbal tea as it seems to be the only thing that doesn't cause cramps. My doctor has gone away for the weekend (although I sent him an email), Sorry for my miserable account. Just fed up with feeling yuck!

SheWins1 207 Posted July 13, 2013 Can I be in your July First group? Mine was 6/24 just a week earlier. They kept me on hospital 4 days and I was up walking first day! Everything went great! I guess all dr's are different. My start weight prior to 2 week liquid was 277 then at hospital before surgery 262. As of this morning I am 257! That's incentive for me!! I'm June 24 as well! Cool! Camella 209 Posted July 13, 2013 Your Dr should have someone on call! Sorry that you're feeling crappy:( Thanks lifer! I know he should, but he doesn't. I asked him before he left and he told me to message him if there was a problem. I haven't gotten a response so I'm hoping that means that he doesn't think it's anything major. JSCRIMPSHIRE 56 Posted July 13, 2013 I was sleeves on 7/1 at 730 am and got to go home on 7/2 around 11 am. I had a lot of pain the first week home. The second week it started letting up and now I am virtually pain free. I am actually going to get a pedicure today in celebration of my 23 pound loss! I posted his in another tread but want to get other 7/1 opinions. My dr put dermabond on my incisions and it is beginning to slough off. One of my incisions- jut today- is looking like it is not closed underneath. It's not bleeding or anything it just looks bad. Anyone else have this issue?? How I would love a pedicure! I think I will add that to tomorrows "to do list" :-) I would have your incisions checked. My doc removed everything at my one week check up and they are now healing really well (they just look like surface cuts that have dried up).

Just a quick update - I just wanted to make a note in case someone else reads this and has been feeling the same way or same symptoms. Unfortunately over the weekend things have become progressively worse and I have been told today by my Dr that I have c diff colitis. Don't ignore these symptoms as it can become quite nasty if untreated.

kjordan83 65 Posted July 27, 2013 Hey y'all! We've got to get this thread going again! I'm following the other July threads, but those sleevers are weeks behind us! I'LL START 5' 4" 29 yrs. SW: 277 CW: 253 I've dropped 24 lbs since 7/1 and haven't lost an ounce in 2 weeks!!! I think it's because I'm only getting ~32oz of fluids a day. :-/ Must increase! However, I measured and have lost 29 inches from my body!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!! I'm worried about my caloric intake because my NUT told me minimum of 1000, but that's seems waaaaay to much. So I set my own goal of 500-600. I'm trying to figure how to break this stall!!!! Yesterday, I had my first NSV and got to scratch an item off my "Skinny Bucket List"... I crossed my legs comfortably and I didn't even know I was doing it! I just looked down and my legs were crossed and my pants were baggy! This encouraged me to compare pics... And HOLY SHMOLIES.... The difference in unbelievable!!! I've already lost my neck and a few chins!!! Tell us... We all need the encouragement in knowing we are not alone!!! Who better to talk to than the July 1 Sleevers!!!! What are your week 4 stats? How much are you eating? Calorie range? Have you stalled, yet? Any NSV's? Who can actually drink 64 oz?!?!?!? What kind if exercising are you doing? Pictures?
