Kimmy1813 77 Posted July 23, 2013 What did you have to do? Sorry, I just saw this. I had to see the bariatric doctor and weigh once a month....I had to have 7 visits in 6 months before my paperwork could be submitted for approval. I started January 2nd and my last appt was July 2nd. I also had two visits with a NUT...not sure if this was my insurance requirement or the clinic requirements. I had to have all the other testing too, such as sleep study, EKG, etc.

adargie 159 Posted July 24, 2013 I also had to do 6 months. But actually 7 appts. with a bariactric doctor, I had to keep a food journal(myfitnesspal) and I also could not drop below 40 BMI or that would have been a denial straight out because I have no comorbs. Also had to see exercise specialist/nutritionist as well. It felt like the longest 6 months of my life. Fast forward to now, I got my approval and start my pre-op diet July 29th, sleeve aug 5. So it does finally come to an end!!
