I've been up all night in terrible pain and I'm pretty sure it's kidney stones. I was sleeved two weeks ago and I've had kidney stones before. I was up all most most the night with terrible back and side pain and horrible cramps plus blood in my urine and it is not my time of the month either. I'm starting to feel a little bit better after hours of debating should I go to the ER. I'm supposed to go back to work this morning but don't see how that's possible. I'm wondering even if I am feeling better if I go to see my regular doctor about it would they be able to tell if I have kidney stones if my pain has stopped. I'm worried they will not believe me because I had the same issue before when I went to urgent care.

Yes, I think you should go to ER. I've had stones as well. I know if you drink alot of Water it helps the pain a little bit. Good luck

You actually need a scan to see if they are kidney stones.

I feel your pain :( I spent all night yesterday in the ER. I have never had kidney stones before so I didn't know what was going on. But I had blood in my urine and severe pain in my back/side on the left. Turns out it's stones and a kidney infection.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
