I did! I had low grade fever the whole entire first week.

My doc said it was ok as long as it didn't go over 101

Today marks my 2 weeks post op :) still dealing with weakness, a bit of nausea, and not reaching my Protein goal

I spiked a 102 fever in the hospital, they gave me Tylenol and a cool wet washcloth. It came down, and my white cell count was good. As precaution they had me have a follow-up lab to make sure the white cell count was still normal. My white count was good, and the fever stayed around 99.5 for over a week. Hope your recovery is smooth, and pain free.

I was sleeved July 1st and I started running a low-grade temp as soon as I got home on the 3rd.

I called my surgeon's office and was told the same thing as Ruthie. As long as it doesn't go above 101, don't panic. Meanwhile, I take the liquid Vicodin my doc prescribed, to keep the fever at bay and take the edge off my incision pain. I'm trying not to take it very often, but once or twice a day is still necessary for me.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
