Racheal 7 Posted July 1, 2013 I am one month post surgery and have an appointment for a bodywrap tomorrow. I was reading about it online and it says you can burn up to 1200 calories in a session. Since I don't consume this many calories a day do you still think it's okay to have my spa day and get my wrap??

Since I don't consume this many calories a day do you still think it's okay to have my spa day and get my wrap?? I think burning 1200 calories in one session is probably bunk. From my research, what generally happens with body wraps is that you lose hydration. You may look/feel slightly slimmer for a couple of days, but it is not any sort of permanent loss, caloric or otherwise. They're probably useful to temporarily slim a bit to fit in that special dress for an event, but I'm skeptical of any other benefit. That said, if you decide to do this I'd love to hear about any results you might have! Mrs.RRn 2,111 Posted July 1, 2013 I had a wrap done before my wedding day, and all it does is basically suck Water from you. You do look temporarily a few lbs lighter. It was nice for just the day of the wedding BUT... It was kinda relaxing 1 SpaceDust reacted to this
