The gladiator protein powder from smoothie king

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used the gladiator Protein Powder from smoothie king?

I was wondering how people are liking it or not. I'm 3 days post op and I'm struggling to get my minimum of 80 grams of Protein l... The gladiator had 40grams per serving so I was thinking of getting it for the high protein content.

I had my surgery July1 and am also having trouble with Protein. Did you try the gladiator??

I haven't tried it yet. I don't want to buy one when I know I won't be able to finish even the kid size... I hate to waste money...

If you try it let me know!

I use it. It's ok. My favorite is the unflavored Unjury in fruit punch crystal light

I tried it and it was ok. A little strong. Not sure if I would be able to use it at home and drink it.

Just don't put fruit in it if you are still on full liquids. I basically drink 2 shakes a day, 1 Water with Protein and Soup and about 4-5 sugar free Popsicles. I was sleeved on 7/17

Gladiator is the only Protein drink I can stomach. I like it. I have them out strawberry and kiwi in. It's expensive though' date=' like 5 a pop.[/quote']

You can buy the powder and make them at home but it is $50...I jut don't think they would taste the same admin the store.... I was sleeved 7/1

I love Gladiator Protein drinks! I buy the big tub. My NUT says I should use only one scoop and mix with milk. That makes it 22.5 g protein per serving. Not sure why she wouldn't want me to go ahead and get the full 45g in one sitting??

I am trying to taste a few ......I went to smoothie king and ordered a strawberry gladiator he asked me which two fruits I wanted in it .....I told him none and he looked at me like I was crazy and told me that I needed to put fruits in it for texture and taste or I wouldn't like it.....I put strawberry and banana and it's really good! My question is, do you guys add fruit to it, or just mix the powder with Water or milk?

Found this older post a friend was telling me today about Smoothie King and the Gladiator Protein smoothies. If you add any fruits other than one serving of pineapple or mango sorbet you go over the suggested sugar intake per meal. Has anyone tried these lately and how did you like it?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
