sherrypep 91 Posted June 30, 2013 I used Protein Shots for the first two weeks because I had a problem drinking shakes. They are very sweet but I sipped them slowly The down side was mine were almost 3 bucks a piece.
Ashlee K 46 Posted June 30, 2013 Thanks guys I think they r a little high but I think they might be worth it seeing how every one says they have a hard time getting their Protein down
need2bthin! 235 Posted July 1, 2013 I'm going to ask my NUT about these. They sound great no sugar, no carbs, and 50g protein!
PGee 318 Posted July 1, 2013 My NUT was very clear....."do not buy the Protein shots", so I will go with her recommendation
babywools 34 Posted July 1, 2013 My doc says they are a must the first week. It's going to be a little pricey - even New Whey at Walmart is $2,97 each.
Corky6984 134 Posted July 1, 2013 I know on one of my papers, which, of course, I can't locate it, it said NO New whey bullets whatever those are... :/ Sent from my iPhone using VST
SpaceDust 585 Posted July 1, 2013 The problem with most of the Protein shots is the primary Protein is collegen, which our bodies do not readily convert for use. Good protein options are whey protein isolate or soy protein isolate for most people. So, while a number of them say they have good Proteins, it's usually a ways down the ingredient list, and the actual usable protein may only be, for example, 11 grams out of the 40-50 grams that they claim to have. There is one protein shot that appears to be reasonably.high in good protein, and I've been told this one is acceptable - it's called Yes, Whey. There may be others, but this is the only one I'm aware of. This Carnivor shot that is linked to above may also be a good option if you can tolerate them, since they use beef protein isolate, which our bodies should be able to use in theory. Of course, if your doctor or NUT recommends you use them, follow their directions. I'm neither a NUT nor a doctor, just someone who has done a bunch of research 1 PGee reacted to this
