Karnie 66 Posted June 30, 2013 I am 3 days post op. Sleeved on June 27th. When should I expect to have a bowel movement? Hope this is not too personal...
JoiaRox 430 Posted June 30, 2013 Happened on Day 6 for me...and it was painful! Once I got that out, though, I was in the "bowels are more loose now" mode...lol! Talk about TMI! 1 PEvette reacted to this

Almostthere34 128 Posted June 30, 2013 This is a TMI wait until you get to the Constipation. I didn't get regular without Fiber or milaax until month 5. It does get better though.
Lisha73 97 Posted June 30, 2013 Your question is not out of the ordinary alot of people ask the same question. I think mine was day 7. but you have to remember that you are NOT eating alot of food and your body is really using what you are putting into it. so not much waste to get rid of...and your intestines are very long, you would think that it would come out faster but without something behind it pushing it out. Slave to Senor Sleeve 40 Posted June 30, 2013 When did you begin taking fiber or softeners? I am having surgery in a week and what to know when I should start taking anything. My surgeon post op diet is days1-4 clears then 5-10 full then puréed for 2weeks after that.
******** 397 Posted June 30, 2013 I had mine on day 3. It was liquidy (tmi) because I was only drinking liquids at this point.
cms213 119 Posted June 30, 2013 They wouldn't let me leave the hospital till I had a bowl movement so they gave me laxatives every night. By day 3 I was running to the bathroom every hour. Since then I go about every other day or at least every 2-3 days.
Adglass 4 Posted June 30, 2013 My friend gave me a recipe for poop pudding. Its good and you eat like 2-3 tablespoons a night and it keeps you regular 1 1/2. cups pitted prunes 1 cup applesauce 1/2 cup all bran Cereal 1 cup prune juice blend really well. put in fridge it tastes like raisin bran Cereal with pudding consistency i am 3 months out and it works well
Guest Jason Cody Posted June 30, 2013 I went on day three. Since then I have regular movements. As my liquid diet progressed so did the liquidity of my bowel movements.
