Busterdoodoo 38 Posted June 30, 2013 Just curious...(and I will ask my doctor the same question when I see him next) ... But do any of you know when we are "out of the woods" on the whole sleeve leaking issue? Is it a month, 6 months?
Vixynne 695 Posted June 30, 2013 I believe I was told that most leaks (key word: most) are discovered within the first two weeks.

cms213 119 Posted June 30, 2013 When I had my two week I asked about the risk of complications he said after the first 4 days you are less liking to experience complications like a leak but he didn't say I was out of the clear but that it would be highly unlikely. So I'm almost 5 weeks out and knocking on wood that things go well for the recovery even though I feel normal now.

butterfly_gal 151 Posted June 30, 2013 My doctor told me that people are pretty much healed by 6 weeks, but some people have leaks that are discovered up to months after surgery. Those leaks are most of the time, there all along, but don't get discovered to later.
