MY HAIR IS FALLING OUT!

Recommended Posts

You can try biotin' date=' thickening Shampoo, get your Vitamins, get your protien etc. for some of us, it jsut happens, and is really unavoidable. The good news is that it doesn't all fall out, and that it grows back. I noticed mine thinning around month 3 so I cut it off and donated to locks of love before the fall out got so bad it was unusable. It started growing in again around month six. I keep it in a short pixie style, and really dig my new cut. The best thing to do is focus on your weight loss and not the hair loss, just think of it as a new you! It really does get better, I promise!![/quote']

That's wonderful!

My hair has been falling out too. Doc said not to panic, it would grow back.I'd be a happy bunny if I only the grey ones fell out, oh, and my leg hair can go too. :-)

Your hair falls out during the more rapid weight loss phase and the Hair loss tapers off as your weight loss slows down, so think of this as a positive thing, that is associated with weight loss. Enjoy the ride!

I've lost about 1/3 of my thickness- I'm 7.5 months out and I'm FINALLY starting to see if slowing down. My cousin lost from month 3-9. And now at 18 months post op is starting to have normal hair again :).

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
