I think that it's good that you're seeing the doctor. I have had a metallic taste in my mouth, but it was because I was in ketosis, and burning fat. It must be very discouraging to be working so hard--on top of the surgery--and still not losing. I hope you get it all sorted out soon.

I'm no expert, for sure, but I think it might be an idea to stop exercising until you've seen the doctor, too. Take a well-earned rest! :)

milixxa thank you so much for the encourageing words.

ms ive been drinking 100oz of Water a day. i thought it was the pressure also but it went back up and i was still feeling that way. the metallic taste just started today. im praying my body will start releasing fat soon. but i might have to reduce my workout from 5-6 days to 3 every other day. just not eating enough for that type of workout.

Protein makes such a difference for me. I feel dizzy and my blood sugar levels drop sometimes when I am not getting consistent protein. Keep up with the hydration. Glad you are seeing the doctor too. Keep us updated!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
