Jerry Warbis 0 Posted December 31, 2006 Hello everone.. I'm 3 and a half weeks post op. and feel pretty good, Dr. Tersigni here in Oregon did my lap-band. Does anyone have any good ideas for an excersize program for someone with hurting knee joints?
thompson632 0 Posted January 1, 2007 Hey Jerry I have always been a swimmer. I go to Bally's and walk and jog in the pool. It is great exercise and everyone there really supports me. I also swim laps.. I really miss it, and I haven't been since I was banded (Nov 17) and my first fill was last week (Dec 28). Really give it a try, your legs will get strong very fast and it will also help you tone up and loose weight. Good luck on your journey!:clap2: Carole from Texas
Iluvharleys 15 Posted January 1, 2007 Welcome to LBT Jerry! Swimming helped me when I couldn't do anything else. Good Luck!

skyeblu79 0 Posted January 2, 2007 Hi Jerry, I am not banded yet, but I have knee problems as well. I have found that the elliptical machine works really good for me. There is no pressure on my knees and you burn a lot of calories. Glad to hear you are feeling well and good luck with your band!!!
Jerry Warbis 0 Posted January 3, 2007 Thanks for the advice and the encouragement, I've yet to have my first "FILL" I feel I do need one though, since I don't feel very full on the 3OZ. of food at each meal. I wish there was something I could have that would fill me up without gaining weight. I just started on solid food yesterday, 3 oz. 3 times a day. NOT MUCH FUN!!!!!
