Wait...I'm 35! Am I "older"? I'm 25 in my head! So glad you are feeling better. Did your dr give you an outline? What to eat when? A month out is pretty early for physical activity. They usually suggest 6 weeks. And I don't think you should be on full foods yet.

Don't worry about the gain. It's not real. My dr said iv fluids could be up to 20 lbs on the scale. Also your previous weight was when you were dehydrated so of course it read under weight.

I can email you what my dr instructions are if you don't have. I would air on the side of caution just to be sure.

Love the hair!

You are young in my eyes! Lol you don't even look 35! Lol

An yes he did give me an outline and also a dr for follow up. No I'm not on full foods but I was even scared to try brothes because I'd throw up. But I'm not scared anymore I even have yogurt!

But email them to me anyway ! Natysleeve@gmail.com

I'll do light work outs maybe walking and some arm exercises

I was hoping that was what it was and I figured being dehydrated was keeping me under weight so it makes total sense now!

I saw your video so happy you are doing great!

I've had a dry mouth for some days now and I keep throwing up bile. I'm starting to feel so sick and I can't get anything but Water juice and Gatorade down I'm 15 days post op. I had broth the other day and I had a barf episode if I got for a walk my both immediately gets dry and I feel nauseous I'm in Mexico and I leave Sunday back home I haven't had the resources here that I've needed. I just want to know I'm not gonna die!!

You are not going to die but you do sound dehydrated. You need to get to a hospital ASAP for some fluids!

JSCRIMPSHIRE, you are a bit late to the thread. The crisis is averted and she did, in fact go to the hospital. But your instincts are correct.

Look, if your aunt won't take you then take a taxi at the very least call the doctor's office and get a script for nausea! This would at least allow you to start getting some fluids in on your own. If you continue this way the airline might not even let you on the plane! Pay attention to what has been said to you. This is no joke. Keep us posted!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
