bussy37 35 Posted June 29, 2013 Day eight for me. Still spend a lot of time in the recliner. Per doctor's orders, a minimum of 64 oz liquid and 100 grams Protein. Walk the block several times a day. Even drove the car for a spell today. Dying for pureed foods but that is another three weeks away. 1 Cheer Mama reacted to this

Busterdoodoo 38 Posted June 30, 2013 One week post op I was in my recliner asleep. I came home with a sleeve' date=' an umbilical hernia and a severely sprained neck. I was still on T3 and major muscle relaxers. I slept several times a day AND all night. I didn't start to really become coherent till the middle or end of the second week... 3 weeks out and my neck is still sore and so is the repaired hernia, which I JUST strained catching myself from a fall this morning. UGH! :0)[/quote'] I had a really sore neck too!! So did another girl I met in the hospital. She went to her chiro on day 4 for it. I wonder what they did to us lol
danj67 1 Posted June 30, 2013 I'm day ten post op, returned to work day nine, no issues getting three glasses Protein Shake in, plus another fifty oz of crystal light, first day or two was slow going.. Was released day after surgery, started doing 1.5 mile walks day after that. Only time I've been nausea or puked was day of surgery..

mizehpanther 3 Posted June 30, 2013 Funny story: The day I got home from surgery, I went to "breakfast" with my brother and dad. They had the special: eggs, potatoes, bagel, coffee - $5.49. I ordered chicken broth and hot Decaf tea. They charged me for "soup" $3.99 and $1.99 for the tea. You do the math...
