carol ann 5 Posted June 28, 2013 Hello to all.I'am just getting started. Went to my first app.on June 26th. 2013. I'll have to wait 4mo. before my surgery date for my insurance to cover it. Done with June now, so i'm looking around Oct.2013 for the surgery!!!! I'am 66yrs. old and that concerns me, mainly loose skin. But I'am told loose skin is better than carrying all that weight. Sure hope so.Anyone around my age have that concern?Any other good advice? Vitamins and Protein Drinks?

mokee 588 Posted June 28, 2013 Carol Ann, I had my surgery 7 months ago just 2 days after my 66 th birthday. I have lost 74 lbs so far and it feels great. I have not exercised due to pain so it can be done with just diet. 1 more lb and I will be in the 100' s. have not been there since 44 yrs ago. I actually shop in the reg woman's dept now and have so many choices. I never in my wildest dreams thought this would ever happen for me. Now for the important things: Down 120 units of insulin a day. Off all anti inflamatories. Am no longer incontinent so no more poise pads. Blood pressure medicine cut in half. Can walk without terrible pain in feet and legs. Quality of life is so much improved. 2 MIJourney and carol ann reacted to this
