Ms.AntiBand 2,984 Posted June 28, 2013 Pfff.. I'm 6 months out and only about 40 down. Slow but sure! Hang in there!
SpaceDust 585 Posted June 28, 2013 30 lbs in two months is excellent! Hang in there - I know that none of us are particularly patient about wanting this off NOW, but we also want to be healthy at the end of it, right? You're losing at a nice pace, keep it up! ppasjm 37 Posted June 28, 2013 Hi, looked at your profile and I'm from Belleville. Hey, 30 lbs in 2 months is great! When have you ever lost that much in 2 months before? As long as you're losing, you're doing great! Besides, if you lose the weight slower, your skin has more time to shrink with you and won't be as saggy! You have to find the positives in every situation. Keep up the good work! 3 mrs.petethecat, NiqueJ and TES reacted to this
Itsme! 98 Posted June 28, 2013 I'm about the same. It is depressing, but then again it averages 3-4 pounds a week so that's not too shabby. Just keep it up and you'll get there. Don't jump to the bypass right away. There's no guarantee that you'd lose more or faster with it.
Sherri297 81 Posted June 28, 2013 There is no expiration date for your sleeve to stop working, I'm now 9 months out and down about 93 lbs., I have no doubt that I will eventually get to goal. Yes I get hungry, and I'm trying to stick to the Protein first plan, and have my sleeve help me like the tool it's intended to be. Be patient with yourself and have faith that you cn do this!! 2 TES and Ballermom reacted to this
Rox 200 Posted June 28, 2013 I keep telling my husband that I am not going to wake up from this surgery thin. I'm not even going to wake up thin a month from surgery. I think we all have to keep in mind that the sleeve is a tool - not a miracle 2 ppasjm and MrsPierre reacted to this

Amazing! I am in this for the long haul, and 15 pounds a month will equal 189 pounds in a year!!!" 4 ppasjm, JessicaAnn, afitlife4me and 1 other reacted to this
MrsPierre 67 Posted June 28, 2013 I keep telling my husband that I am not going to wake up from this surgery thin. I'm not even going to wake up thin a month from surgery. I think we all have to keep in mind that the sleeve is a tool - not a miracle I concur with Rox. My Bariatric Doc reminded me yesterday at my follow up to not focus on quick weight loss. Two to three pounds a week. No calorie counting just lean Protein, veggies, fruit and Water. Walk 30 mins 3-4 times a week. It's a tool not the cure. It's a tool AND a lifestyle change period! Sydney Susan 333 Posted June 28, 2013 As everyone has said - reality check girl! I'd have been lucky to lose a pound a week (consistently) pre-sleeve and I would have really suffered for it.
