The cutie pie doc better avoid prison. Those monster bubbas will give him a graduate course in what it feels like to be taken advantage of.

I have compassion for women that are taken advantage of and forced into situations. Being that I was sexually assaulted when I was younger by someone who I trusted and made me believe it was my fault and that I wasn't allowed to tell anyone. For 2yrs I was held in fer of outing him. It wasn't until I was 25 that I told anyone. But willing doing something with someone that quickly after meeting someone is the fault of the parties involved.

A lot of us have been victims just like you.. And as for me, it's just made me all that more compassionate towards others regardless of the how one was taken advantage of.

I was raped...someone who chooses to have sex with someone whether it be a position of power or not and gets upset only when that goes sour makes a mockery out of people like me and my situation.

Janice, you are mistaken. Sexual abuse is still abuse if the victim was not of sound mind for mental or physical reasons. Authority figures (teachers, doctors, psychiatrists, bosses, etc. are forbidden to have a sexual relationship with those under their care/authority. Like having sex with someone too drunk to make w coherent decision, it's morally, ethically and sometimes legally wrong. It does not diminish the harm done to you. It's not a contest to see who was wronged the most.

It seems like she was in sound mind to me, enough to correspond with him for over a month and give a great review of him on this site.

No one is claiming she wasn't naive... But the dr took advantage of this with his position as her attending physician. It was wrong on sooo many levels.

Gotta say I agree with you. What the doc did was pretty crappy, but the blame doesn't fall solely on him. I think it's great that the OP put this thread up, though, to warn others he might be on the prowl.

And also like I said in my post, Fiancé was at one time my boss. We are happy and in love. I did not feel like I was taken advantage of, nor did he use his authority to persuade me to have sex with him. I don't think that is the issue with the OP either. It was a bad choice she made and now it's time for her to take action ( by contacting the company)and get over it.

Now if she said no and he was still trying to persuade her, then that's a different story. Because then she would have done it out of guilt, and that's just plain wrong

She mentioned he's already moved on to other vulnerable patients .. Maybe it's not illegal, but gosh dang, as friends here.. I'm glad she said something

The fact remains that it is unethical to have sex with a patient under his care. If she was not a current patient this wouldn't be an issue. He'd still be a d**k, but that's another conversation.

Like I said, I do think it is unethical. I agree completely, but I do think it's being blown out of proportion.

It's back up.... But after reading some of these latest comments from some of these "ladies"

I almost wished it wasn't.

I am truly saddened by some of these judgements and lack of understanding about something that is so ethically wrong.

Do you have mothers? Sisters? Daughters?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
