I'm hungry all the time now. All this happened in the last 2 months. It will be a yr in July I had my surgery. I will be so depressed if I gain all my weight back. Not to mention all the money I spent to have the surgery. Any answers on what I should do. I already gained back 15 pounds. So depressed.

Are you eating 3 meals or 3 meals and a snack and not grazing, not eating sliders, focusing on Protein and low-carb veggies? And exercising and drinking plenty of Water?

Go back to the basics... track every bite you eat in a program like MFP. Make sure you are getting in 60 - 70 (or more) Protein, and as few of carbs as possible.

I know the farther out you get, the more easily "slider" foods and carbs make their way back in. And it doesn't matter how many carbs you eat, you will feel hungry not long after eating them. Get back to that protein!

Don't give in or give up! My weight loss came to a grinding halt & I had gained 10 pounds back as well. It's about finding what works for you. For me, I have to get in all my Water, be vigilant about getting in all my Protein, avoid carbs & sugars for the most part. I have now been losing slowly but steadily for a little over 2 months now. About 2 lbs. a week. It is possible to gain, get back on track and keep losing. I'm doing it & so can you. Hang in there!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
