momo23 21 Posted June 27, 2013 I've never posted on here but I've read books worth of posts on here. I had surgery at 3 with Dr. Ramos Kelly in TJ. Got here and was extremely nervous and I started crying on the table when they put me under. Granted I'm only 19. Dr. Kelly is amazing but the nurse are great too however the language barrier is kind of an issue. As for pain, it's awful. I've been crying, screaming, and being rude because I'm in pain. After what I've read, I didn't think it would be that bad. And I'm on some serious pain drugs too. Walking makes me throw up but I still do it. I can't sleep for more than 30 minutes. Please pray for me y'all 1 Dee White reacted to this

skhosh 6 Posted June 27, 2013 I am 1 week out of surgery, and if you can stay ahead of the pain, with the pain meds, that might help. It is painful, no doubt, but I promise you that next week at this time you will feel significantly better, and most likely will be off pain meds. Just take a day at a time, get as much rest as you can,as that helps heal.
momo23 21 Posted June 27, 2013 Thank you all so much! How did y'all deal with getting up and down without feeling like you are straining your stomach?
skhosh 6 Posted June 27, 2013 I still feel like I am straining my stomach, even though it's better then a week ago. But I just put my hand on my stomach to hold it, roll to my side, and slowly pull up to sit. It's faster now, but still a bit sore. Just takes time.
