I had my surgery 2 weeks yesterday and I have been on a stall for over a week now... Is it normal to be on a stall this early? I just want to keep losing, I'm ready to lose this weight! I've lost a total of 26 lbs which is great but I just am frustrated that I'm at a stall already.. I'm drinking lots of Water hoping it will break the stall.. Any suggestions will help, thanks!

The suggestions are pretty simple. Get your Protein and Water in. Get up and move, at least get in plenty of walking. Stick with your plan. Make sure you're getting enough sleep.

You've had pretty significant weight loss already and your body is likely just taking a break to adjust - the timing on stalls is different for everyone, so don't worry just yet. I'm betting that if you were to compare your measurements that you'd likely find they're still dropping even if the scale hasn't budged this week (and if you haven't started tracking your measurements, I suggest you start right now).

I know that if the scale stops moving for more than a couple of weeks I'm supposed to call my dietician, but otherwise I'm not supposed to overly worry about stops and starts.

If you want some additional ideas, dealing with stalls is a regular topic here. If you use the search function and hunt for the word "stall" you'll likely find a flood of different approaches.

Good luck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
