July8thsleever 4 Posted June 26, 2013 Did anyone get an on-q pain pump that goes to gravity after surgery for muscular and incisional pain? If so did it help??
thisismyyear 11 Posted June 26, 2013 Hi, I did have a Q pump, and I had very little pain. I was sore, but no pain. And the pump does not hurt at all when it is time to take out, it is kinda just tacked into skin. I promise it did not hurt at all to take out. Good luck! belladona 153 Posted June 26, 2013 One week out no pump. But good luck to you.
Yaya 81 Posted June 26, 2013 I had the On-Q pump, but took it out after 2 days (before it was empty) because it kept getting in the way. I had no incisional pain at all (never even filled my pain pill Rx), so I figured even if some pain started with it out (it didn't), I could probably handle it. Was much easier to dress, shower, and go to the bathroom without all those tubes!
Corky6984 134 Posted June 26, 2013 I had the pump as well and mine fell out the day after when I was leaving. I had no pain, though and didn't even know it had fallen out until I saw the "arms" were dangling on the floor! 1 Dee White reacted to this
July8thsleever 4 Posted June 26, 2013 Thank you all so much for your responces! I am debating leaving out because most of our pts say they are a mess and they cant say it helps a great deal... Decisions decisions!
BrianSATX 116 Posted June 27, 2013 Hard to say if I had pain cuz I did have the onq pain ball. It was pulled when I left the hospital. Didn't hurt, was just a little startling. Lol No pain at all though, and filled my pain meds but haven't used them.
