I was also sleeved on 18th and 1st pre op appt is 7/3.. my question is... how do u guys feel after you eat? I was on liquid diet only 2 days and now I am on puree. More so puree veggie soup..baby food.. popcicles.. sugar free pudding etc. With every bite I can feel gas bubbles immediately after swallowing. Gets to point where I don't want to eat.

8 days post-op, down 16 lbs. :D

Eating soft foods (mashed potatoes, Popsicles, Jello, broth)

Feeling top notch except for some stomach upset.

This is one of the best decisions I will ever make.

Lovin' it!

I'm a week post op today, and I feel Thanksgiving full all the time trying to get close to the Protein they want. Ugh, it is miserable. I'm hating the Proteins, I get so full and bloated. Cant wait for this phase to be over, another whole week:(

Hi Dimples. I can't believe they only had you on Clear Liquids for two days. It sounds like they advanced your stages too quickly. If the puréed foods bother you you might want to scale back to clear or full liquids for another week or so to give yourself more time to heal.

Dimples we were sleeved the same day..I wad on liquids until today..now I am on pureed/soft...maybe you should go back to full liquids for A few days and the to puree..I will say when I start to get full I start to burp..and loud..embarrassing..but thats my key to stop eating or drinking and it's only a few bites

I can eat 3 oz of yogurt ..I can drink about 3-4 oz of liquid..today I ate chicken salad 1.5 tsp and I was full..

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
