SuzyB 182 Posted June 25, 2013 I have 4 kids. What have people done to ease feeding the family after surgery? I have been very mindful lately of how much I pick at my food while cooking or cleaning up for them. Ideally, I will not have to cook for a week or 2 afterwards, but as I understand it, it will be 2-4 months before I can eat real food in small portions. JoiaRox 430 Posted June 25, 2013 Who says you have to eat what you cook? Make them their dinner, then sit with them and enjoy what you're able to eat. While cooking 2 different meals sounds arduous, I find that it doesn't take much time to heat up/cook my food. You physically CAN'T eat "normal" food, so why subject yourself to it? I think it's about refocusing your meal time about the people and the conversations, not the food. Master that and you'll have the sleeve licked 1 getlownurse reacted to this
getlownurse 105 Posted June 25, 2013 If I chew gum or suck on weathers while cooking, I don't eat the whole time like usual. I think the above posters answer is your solution, but perhaps guy will help in the meantime? Good luck.
