birdl0vergirl 12 Posted June 24, 2013 I was curious for those of you that were sleeved at florence, what kind of food was available for your support person at the hospital? Was it all Mexican food or was there also American food options available? Thank you!!
pantala 125 Posted June 24, 2013 florence Oasis prides itself on fresh, organic, vegan food. My hubby really loved it but still had to step out and find a McDonalds It wasn't all traditional Mexican but more what you would find at a Cafe Gratitude-type place. Hope that helps! KatInFL 216 Posted June 24, 2013 I was curious for those of you that were sleeved at florence, what kind of food was available for your support person at the hospital? Was it all Mexican food or was there also American food options available? Thank you!! The cafeteria is not at all what you'd imagine in comparison to a US hospital cafeteria. It's run by a particular segment of the hospital, so it's all vegan. My support person didn't eat there not because of the food but because the hours were really specific and not convenient for when she was hungry. Depending on how adventurous they are (the area is perfectly safe and I'd have done it), they could walk a couple of blocks to grab something easy. Or, if you have a coordinator, they might be able to help out in picking up food. ~Kat
birdl0vergirl 12 Posted June 25, 2013 Thank you both very much, this is very helpful and mind relieving! We are vegetarian, so a vegan kitchen is perfect! 2 KatInFL and Melixxa reacted to this
