Amybeth12 6 Posted August 21, 2013 Thankfully I don't have to do the all liquid diet. I have to do 2 Protein Shakes and 2 low carb meals a day. No white breads or refined sugars. It's hard but i know it's nowhere near as hard as all liquids! Keep pushing! We're almost there! Lol its no fun but will be worth it! Good luck to you. Aug. 26th for me. Counting down! lsu2868 708 Posted August 21, 2013 Well, had my surgery on the 19th. Not much pain at all except for gas. I could inflate a blimp right now...lol I had to stay 2 nights and got home this morning. I slept great last night, about 10 hours. So far so good on getting Water and shakes down. How are all my other 8/19 mates doing? Great I hope. 3 Mocha2871, mummytolewis and Kaj reacted to this
mummytolewis 21 Posted August 21, 2013 I was sleeved on 8/16. I was super nervous but it will be over before you know it. My husband and I actually joked that it was pretty anticlimactic after all this build up. the dr gave me something to relax' date=' and then next thing i know i woke up in my room. i was a little nauseous but they gave me meds for that asap and then i was nodding in an out like a heroin addict. it really was a lot less bad than i expected, especially after reading the complications board non-stop.[/quote'] Lol I was exactly the same as you, in and out of conciousness, the nurses were all telling me i, d open my eyes say something and then they, d be rolling in back of my head, I woke up next morning had a cuppa tea showered and walked around hardly any gas too :-) hope all my fellow 19 th sleevers are feeling better today :-D 1 lsu2868 reacted to this

reno1128 34 Posted August 21, 2013 I was sleeved yesterday everything went well...but this gas is something else....does anyone know what I can take.... Do your breathing exercises and walk walk walk walk!! Take pain meds if they get too bad. They will go away before you know it. Even if you're just laying there lift your knees up and move your body however you comfortably can.
