gamergirl 4,610 Posted August 3, 2013 So had surgery yesterday and have to say, so far I have had no discomfort at all. I suspect once they stop the pain meds it will b a different story, but I'm grateful that these first 24 hours have been 10 times easier than I thought they would be. Here's hoping you guys have this same experience. 9 elisa123, natynat22, Dee White and 6 others reacted to this

determined1103 22 Posted August 3, 2013 It's ok and don't be discouraged' date=' the same thing happen to me and I did the stress test and everything was fine! It's just another loop hole but you will be through it soon. I am 2days in pre op diet and just starting to have a hard time mentally, trying to stay positive and focused on my end result. You will do fine![/quote'] Thx for the encouragement. So your EKG was abnormal and they found nothing wrong when you took the stress test. That's what I'm really worried about. Hope I did not have some type of mild heart attack or something and I didn't know it. I've been battling HBP since I had my 3 yr old daughter. I can't seem to keep it low. Funny the same problem that prompt me to get the sleeve is the same problem that's delaying it.

Natynat22 you did the sleeve and have a drain tube? Can I ask where? Sorry for the ignorant question but one of the reasons I chose the sleeve was bc there would be no drainage. Just curious. Happy all is going well for you thus far. Keep us posted on your recovery

Keep us posted on your recovery Tina I have one on my left side. Honestly you don't even know its there? It's to make sure you have no leaks in your sleeve. So that's not an ignorant question! Don't stress ! It's not a big deal its probably based on what the doctor wants.

kim.cooper 40 Posted August 3, 2013 Is it just me. Or is anyone else happy' date=' but terrified!![/quote'] Had my last pre-op hoop to jump through yesterday...hope to get my surgery date when I meet with the surgeon's PA on Tuesday. I think it would be unusual not to swing to polar opposites emotionally as we approach our respective dates. This is a pretty radical choice we've made afterall, isn't it? We can do this...we see success stories on this wonderful forum everyday. We also see the hardships we are about to encounter, and we see people rise above and keep moving forward. These are the things that empower us, and give us the inspiration and the courage to do something so very radical. I think this is the reason most of us are on this site in the first place...folks reaching out to one another in support and friendship. We can do this. <3 2 PGee and Jeanie S reacted to this
