Hello everyone! Tomorrow will be 3 weeks post op. I'm following my diet as instructed. I also started exercising. Seems I've hit a stall? Could this happen so soon? By no means am I complaining, I've never lost weight this fast in my life. Just seems that my clothes are falling off and I can see the weight loss. Just wondering why I'm not seeing the scale move. I've been stuck at this weight for almost a week. Thanks !

3 weeks out is very common. Be patient. Your body is readjusting itself. The scale will start moving again soon. :D

I'm right there with you! Tomorrow will start week 3 and I've been the same weight all of week 2. Yet, I feel like I've lost inches. I understand this is expected during this time, so I'll just keep on doing what I'm supposed to. You're not alone! :)

I stalled at 3weeks also. I think a lot of people do. It's your body's way of trying to hang on. But eventually it will let go of the weight. Don't stress just keep moving forwards

Same thing happened to me. Now I'm one month tomorrow and started losing again this weekend. I think our bodies hang on and I'm eating about 400 calories a day so it will keep moving off. It's hard to be patient. My SW was 205 now I'm 183

I stalled week 3 too. Weight started coming off again last weekend. And I'm 4 weeks post op today!! 34lbs gone from pre op to now. I've lost almost 6lb a week. Amazing. Never lost this much weight without starving myself. Happy me!

I am stalled too. So glad I am not alone. Would hate to have had surgery to just lose 30 pounds

I stalled at 3 1/2 weeks with a measly 12 pound loss and the scale has not moved in over a month!! I'm doing everything I'm supposed to..protein..water..etc :-( the only thing keeping me sane is I AM losing inches..I am swimming in some of my tops :-) hang in there..keep reading positive posts!

I'm stalled at three weeks also. It seems pretty standard with everyone so far. So long as we keep to our plans I'm positive we will all be moving along again. Hell, I've never lost 22 lbs so quick in my life so I'll be patient...... Kinda

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
