TeacherTeacher 2 Posted June 24, 2013 Hi everyone! I'm Lisa and I'm getting sleeved tomorrow. I've spent a year researching and hanging out here and I finally decided to have the surgery done. Is it normal to still be second guessing my decision? I'm very nervous and would appreciate any positive thoughts sent my way.
Lindzee 7 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm being sleeved this Thursday. I'd be lying if I did't think long and hard about my decision again in the past week. It's extra hard being on this pre op diet and I think I'm kind of going through a food mourning. This will change our lives forever, but I know I want to be healthy and I know this will get me here. Try to keeps the reasons why you want/need this done and your ultimate goal in mind. Keep strong! Sounds like you've done your research and you know what's best for you. Good luck tomorrow! 1 CCRNonherway reacted to this
NewAshes 232 Posted June 24, 2013 I think a lot of people question their decision at one point. Good luck to you!

Vixynne 695 Posted June 24, 2013 Your doubts just mean you're taking this seriously; that's totally normal, and a good thing! Good luck, I'll be joining you on the loser's bench in just over a week. You're going to do great! 1 Sylviam1974 reacted to this
liteNsun 58 Posted June 24, 2013 Good Luck Lisa, I had mine 4 days ago, and I am so thrilled that I am not tethered to my weight problem as I knew it. My hardest part of my surgical experience was the chatty room mates they gave me post op. Everything else went exactly as they told me it would, recovery too! ElaineB 207 Posted June 24, 2013 Lisa, I think it's totally normal. Im scheduled for July 23, and have been working on this for almost a year. I stress about it at times. At least for me, this surgery means giving up my crutch of the last 20 years. I'm going to miss eating large quantities of crap. I'm not going to miss being fat and feeling like an old woman;). Love and prayers are coming your way. Go claim the life you are intended to have. Elaine
megansmommy123 57 Posted June 24, 2013 I waited 10 years for this surgery, and I second guessed myself all the way up until they put me under. :-) I think its totally normal. I just told myself that I was scared to have the surgery, but I was MORE scared of what would happen if I didn't. My anticipation of the surgery was so much worse than the actual surgery was. You will do great!
